Your homework task this week is to retell a traditional fairy tale.

You could create a comic strip, draw pictures and label them, write the story in full or dress up and take photographs to show how you can act out the story.
We can’t wait to see what you produce!
Next half term our new topic is ‘Once Upon A Time,’ we will be looking at lots of traditional tales; making predictions are re-telling our favourites.

We have recently discovered a fantastic website which you can now use at home too! It’s called Oxford Owl (see the link below). It provides a great opportunity to read, or listen to, books online. There are also lots of fun activities linked to the different stories. We really hope you enjoy using the website as much as we have.
The Year Team
Next week we are looking our family tree.
As part of your homework this week can you find out the names of all the people in your family and where they live?
Welcome back year 1! We hope you are settling in well and have enjoyed your first week.

Can you tell us about yourself?
What is your favourite food?
What is your favourite story?
Who is in your family?
As we have been rewriting the story of Alice in Wonderland we decided to have our very own tea party. We made crowns, placemats, decorated cupcakes and played party games. We also had a very special guest – the Mad Hatter himself! A great day was had by all.
